ISLAMABAD: While presiding a meeting on Capital Development Authority (CDA) affairs, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration was directed by Prime Minister Imran Khan to lift the ban on private land transfers in Zone III which stopped unauthorised construction in that area earlier.
The administrations were further advised to keep a close check on construction activity and ensure that land transfers take place in accordance with the law.
Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqaat also confirmed the lifting of the earlier ban, and he informed that file work has been completed as per PM’s orders. He also and added that the formal transfer will begin from tomorrow.
Even though the implementation of zoning regulations need to be strict on unacquired land, a CDA official expressed that it was a good decision to lift the ban on Zone III. However, a proper check is needed to avoid any unauthorised construction to take place there.
