KARACHI: The Sindh government will prepare a master plan of 17 cities of the province by December 2020 to implement development projects, announced Sindh Chief Secretary Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah while briefing the 42nd Specialised Training Programme.
The attendees of the training included 45 government officials, 38 officials belonging to the Pakistan Administrative Service and seven from Gilgit-Baltistan Service.
According to the chief secretary, the master plan will cover Karachi, Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas, Nawabshah, Islamkot, Jamshoro, Mithi, Sanghar, Naushahro Feroze, Dadu, Mitiari, Umerkot, and Tando Allahyar.
In addition, almost 450 new civic projects will be fully introduced in the provincial capital by June 2020.
While talking about special implemented projects being developed in Karachi, said that projects including the construction of roads, flyovers, and underpasses with a collective length of 150km had been completed. Competitive and Livable City of Karachi, Karachi Neighbourhood Improvement Project, Karachi Water and Sewerage Services Improvement Project, and Bus Rapid Transit Service are some of the projects that have attained completion.
